Two debutants come

Monday 21 January, 2019
During Monday, most countries have presented which skiers are coming to Ulricehamn and the World Cup competitions at Lassalyckan on 26-27 January. We can conclude that Ebba Andersson and Therese Johaug who never competed in the World Cup context in Ulricehamn will start.

On Saturday there are distance competitions over 10 and 15 kilometers in free style, during Sunday there is relay on the program. In the Swedish team there are strong Ebba Andersson who stood on the podium on Sunday, Charlotte Kalla and Maja Dahlqvist, on the men's side are among others Calle Halfvarsson, back after illness and Daniel Rickardsson. Extraordinary to note is that homeowners Hanna Falk and Viktor Thorn, both competitors for Ulricehamns IF, are selected for the competitions. Also Maria Nordström's competitors for Borås SK are in the team.

Will John Take His Sixth Shake?

In the Norwegian ski country team we see that Therese Johaug comes to Ulricehamn and is joined by several strong names for both men and women's side from Norway's national team. Therese Johaug arrives in Ulricehamn with six straight wins on distance races. It will be exciting to see if a form-strong Ebba Andersson or a revenge week Charlotte Kalla can match Therese Johaug during Saturday's distance race over 10 kilometers.

Ulricehamn is ready for ski party

During the weekend, there has been a feeble work to complete the arena for the competitions. The snow is in place and the city is ready for folk party again. At present, almost 40,000 tickets are sold to the races. New for this year are several audience places with sound and picture along the track out in the forest. In the arena, the stands have been given a better slope and wider sections.

Ulricehamn is ready, are you?
